Monday:

Dan Mac stayed on Monday determined to finish the bathroom cladding.  We started early cutting the timber paneling for the cladding to size and Dan HA, Cathy and Marios started ramming earth around the fence posts.

It was a very hot day and a few hours of ramming fence posts was more than enough labor in the sun.  Cathy and Marios headed off around lunch and Dan, Dan and I worked solidly aiming to finish the pergola by the afternoon.  We didn’t finish until 7.30pm eeeek.  After scrubbing up in the river Dan headed back to Melbourne and Dan and I drove into Port Campbell for dinner at the local pub.  What a huge, huge day.  Dan Mac really transformed the place this week and I am so lucky to have such enormous help.

Tuesday:

Dan and I rammed fence posts early morning until midday.  We collapsed in the comfort of the Bowkers home for a decent amount of time in the heat of the day.  We rammed fence posts by evening and installed the corner support posts.

Wednesday:

Dan and I started ridiculously early.  We rammed the corner posts, marked and nailed in the wire insulators.  Threaded the wire through, tensioned the wire, electrified the fence with a solar panel system and finished up in the evening.  We packed down the camp sight and left Kangaroobie in a whirl wind bound for an Australia Day party in Melbourne that we were semi hosting.  It was an epic 10 days and so much was achieved.  Thank you Daniel Hartley Allen for being a tremendous helping hand for such long time and I hope next visit to Melbourne we can enjoy a relaxing holiday home by the ocean!
